The POnTE training course Xylella fastidiosa and CaLsol successfully held at the Faculty of Agriculture, Belgrade
The POnTE training course “The theoretical and practical training on the detection of Xylella fastidiosa and Candidatus Liberibacter solanacearum” was held at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Agriculture (Serbia) from June 24 to June 26, 2019.
The Training was organized through the EU H2020 funded project “Pest Organisms Threatening Europe”–POnTE, and was given by the qualified trainers from recognized institutions, research centres and companies from Italy, France, Spain and Germany with the expertise in detection of emerging pathogens Xylella fastidiosa and Candidatus Liberibacter solanacearum.
Twenty candidates from the Balkans who work in the field of plant disease diagnostics, detection of plant pathogens, plant protection, plant health certification and inspection participated in the training course.
The main objective of this Training was to provide advanced knowledge on detection and identification of Xf and CaLsol by using the latest molecular and serological methods and on-site detection kits.
