ANNE NISSINEN

She is an entomologist specialized on carrot psyllid (Trioza apicalis). Her PhD work concerned ecological control of carrot psyllid. Her subsequent work has led to discovery of association of ‘Candidatus Liberibacter solanacearum’ in carrot psyllid damage in carrots. She has also been working in projects concerning integrated pest management (IPM) on field and greenhouse vegetables as well as on pest risk assessment of invasive species. She is an author over 20 peer-reviewed papers. She has been leading liberibacter projects (2011-2014) in MTT and between Luke, University of Helsinki and Evira (2014-16). She has also been a member of EPPO’s PRA group on CaLsol in 2010-2011.
