Sandy Purcell visits the laboratory of insect vectors of plant diseases at ICA-CSIC
Prof. Sandy Purcell, Emeritus Professor from the University of California at Berkeley is visiting Dr. Fereres‘ lab in Madrid from April 23rd to May 10th to help with the field survey of potential insect vectors of Xylella fastidiosa in Southern Spain.
He will be giving a Seminar about the role of insect vectors on the epidemiology of X. fastidiosa related diseases. His long experience in the ecology and behaviour of insect vectors will be of great help to reach the proposed goals of the POnTE project.
During his visit he will be training students on the ecology and behaviour of Auchenorryncha.
