POnTE will be present at 2019 BIOCONTROL Symposium on Biological Control of Bacterial Plant Diseases
The 4th International Symposium on Biological Control of Bacterial Plant Diseases, will be held in Viterbo, Italy from 9th – 11th July 2019, to meet and discuss the latest research results and developments in the biocontrol of bacterial plant diseases.
BIOCONTROL 2019 will focus on the main scientific, technical and political aspects related to the management of the most serious bacterial plant diseases occurring worldwide. The Symposium will be developed into 9 core sections, such as:
•Interactions between plants and microbiomes • Genetics and Genomics: Basis for innovative control strategies • Epidemiology and forecasting models • Biocontrol of bacterial diseases • Fire blight control: innovation from science to field applications • Improvements in Bacterial Wilt biocontrol • Sustainable strategies for the control of fastidious bacteria and their insect vectors • Production, Safety and Regulation of Biocontrol Agents • Science and Politics meet Industry
This edition of BIOCONTROL 2019 programme will also include two meetings related to relevant EU Projects concerning several aspects of bacterial plant diseases (COST Action CA16107 EuroXanth, Horizon 2020 PONTE and XF-ACTORS).
