POnTE research presented at the 23rd Congress of the Italian Phytopathological Society in Piacenza
The 23rd Congress of the Italian Phytopathological Society (SiPaV) took place in Piacenza, Italy, from 4 to 6 October 2017. The event, which brought together Italian pathologists and important international guests for the 25th consecutive year, was organized by the Department of Sustainable Plant Production Sciences (DIPROEVS) of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Piacenza.
The conference was opened by Prof. Lodovica Gullino (UNITO), the newly-elected president of the Society. Among other contributions, some of the research carried out within the POnTE Project was presented as well.
The Consortium was represented by Dr. Giusy D’ Attoma (CNR-IPSP), currently a PhD student at UNIBA-DiSSPA, who presented two posters entitled “TOWARDS A SUSTAINABLE STRATEGY FOR XYLELLA FASTIDIOSA CONTROL” and “EVALUATION OF AN ENDOPHYTIC SYMBIONT AS BIOCONTROL AGENT AGAINST XYLELLA” related to the ongoing research, carried out with colleagues from CNR-IPSP, CNR-ICCOM and UNIBA-DiSSPA, within the context of WP7 “Signaling pathway, molecules and genes contributing to pest resistance in field”.
The abstracts of both contributions will soon be available in the open access section of this website.
