Italy issues a new decree with measures against Xylella fastidiosa

In the Official Journal of the Italian Republic of January 31, 2017, has been published the Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Policies of December 7, 2016, concerning the “Emergency Measures for the prevention, control and eradication of Xylella fastidiosa (Well and Raju) in the territory of the Italian Republic”.

The new Decree, that will replace the previous measures, dated June 19, 2015, has been issued for the need to harmonize the national legislation with the Commission Implementing Decision (EU) of May 12, 2016 (amending Implementing Decision (EU) 2015/789 as regards measures to prevent the introduction into and the spread within the Union of Xylella fastidiosa).
