STEPHANIE MALLARD

Pathology Coordinator for the Mediterranean Unit at VILMORIN SA, she is in charge of the management of two Pathology Labs (South of France and Spain) that work mainly on Solanaceous and Carrot diseases. She is currently managing eight research projects on Carrot diseases. For instance, in those projects, she develops with her teams detection tools for diagnostic and epidemiological studies, and pathogenicity tests, usually under artificial conditions. She also works on projects that aim to detect and characterize high level of resistance in wild related crops. Her knowledge and main skills are: plant Pathology, plant genetics and breeding, agronomy, molecular biology, bioinformatics.
