DANIELE CORNARA

I’m a PhD candidate for DiSSPA-UNIBA. I’m working on Xylella fastidiosa epidemiology, mainly focusing on vectors biology and Xylella transmission. I’ve spent 9 months in Almeida’s lab, UCB (Berkeley), working on Philaenus spumarius transmission efficiency of X. fastidiosa from grape to grape; I’ve also been involved in other research projects on investigation in Xylella transmission dynamic, and interaction between vectors and DSF plants. Previously, I’ve worked for IAM-Bari in mandatory survey for quarantine virus, CTV and PPV, and Scaphoideus titanus. My main research topics beside Xylella fastidiosa are alien pests in agriculture and taxonomy of Auchenorryncha.
